Mar 01, Kathmandu- The Russian media’s YouTube channel has been banned in Europe.

YouTube has taken this step in response to Russia’s non-stop attacks on Ukraine. Russian state media Russia Today (RT) and Sputnik have been banned. Earlier, Facebook under Meta also decided to ban RT and Sputnik in Europe.

Twitter has decided to reduce the user’s reach on the content of RT and Sputnik. Earlier, YouTube itself had decided not to provide ads on any YouTube channel in Russia.

Meanwhile, state-run media outlets RT and Sputnik have been banned in Europe. Google’s team is currently working on it, according to the company.

Another streaming platform, Netflix, has stopped broadcasting 20 Russian state-backed television channels spreading propaganda, refusing to comply with Russia’s new rules.
